Trade Deal Opens Australian Market to U.S. Beef

The U.S. beef industry celebrates a significant win with a new trade deal expands access to the Australian market. This move supports American farmers by opening new export channels.

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins applauds the announcement and highlights its importance for livestock producers. The agreement is expected to help U.S. beef compete more strongly in the Australian market, offering more growth potential for producers.

Australia is a major player in the global meat trade. With this new deal, American beef can now enter the market with fewer barriers, creating more opportunities for sales and long-term partnerships.

“American farmers and ranchers produce the safest, healthiest beef in the world. It’s absurd that non-scientific trade barriers prevented our beef from being sold to consumers in Australia for the last 20 years. Gone are the days of putting American farmers on the sidelines. This is yet another example of the kind of market access the President negotiates to bring America into a new golden age of prosperity, with American agriculture leading the way,” said Secretary Rollins.

The beef trade improvement is part of larger efforts to support American agriculture by creating fairer and more profitable trade relationships. As a result, farmers and ranchers can expect to benefit from increased demand and new customer bases abroad.
