Youth invited to Farm Bureau 2025 event

Youth invited to Farm Bureau 2025 event

By Jamie Martin

The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) is set to engage the next generation of agriculturalists at its 106th Annual Convention, scheduled for January 24-29, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas.

With a theme of "Step Up, Drive Forward," the convention aims to integrate young members from 4-H, FFA, and Junior MANRRS into its fold.

Maddie Dvorak, AFBF assistant director of member engagement, stated, “The youth programming at convention allows 4-H, FFA and Junior MANRRS members to explore much of what Farm Bureau has to offer, but without the cost of a registration fee.”

This initiative underscores AFBF’s commitment to fostering youth involvement in agriculture through meaningful experiences and education without the financial barrier.

The youth program offers free access to key sessions, workshops, and a trade show, coupled with specialized training and a panel discussion. This provides a comprehensive glimpse into the agricultural sector, policy impact, and business acumen necessary for tomorrow’s agricultural leaders.

Participants will also have the chance to network with industry professionals and gain insights into diverse career paths within agriculture, which could significantly influence their educational and professional trajectories.

This initiative is part of AFBF’s broader strategy to support agricultural education and leadership development among youth, ensuring the continuity and advancement of the industry.
